In spite of many odds, CDEO is determined to go on with its work on deaf empowerment in Cameroon.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED IN CDEO PROGRAMMES?

Make a contribution towards our Vocational workshop building in EID estimated at £25635 ($37,252).

Make a contribution towards the construction of one dormitory for girls and another for boys in EID estimated at £37,938 ($55,132).

Make a contribution towards the construction of four classrooms estimated at £6153 ($8,942) per classroom.

Make a contribution towards the construction of staff Quarters in EID as most staff live far from EID Campus estimated at over £41,014 ($59,613), (first phase).

Grant a full or partial scholarship to a deaf child. A full scholarship for the Primary School is approximately £247 ( $359) and £411 ( $597) for the Secondary School. This will cover a student's tuition and boarding for an entire school year.

Support our Cameroon Sign Language (CSL) programme by donating for the running of CSL classes.

Donate towards our Public Education and AIDS Programmes.

Donate a mini bus to EID to convey staff and pupils when necessary .The estimated cost is £20,508 ($29,815).

Donate a four-wheel drive vehicle estimated at £20,508 ($29,815) to facilitate our movement in rural areas to carry out programmes on HIV/AIDS ,Poverty Alleviation, Adult literacy and Sign Language Classes

Help us build the CDEO Headquarters Complex with a Deaf Resource and Recreational centres in Yaounde. The first phase is estimated at £102,537 ($149,033).

YOUR DONATIONS CAN MAKE A GREAT DIFFERENCE FOR DEAF EMPOWERMENT IN CAMEROON !!!

A £1,000 ($1,453) donation , can help us start an income generating project.

A £500 ($727) donation can pay the salaries of EID staff for one month.

A £350 ($509) donation can sponsor (tuition and Board) one deaf child in EID for one year. EID now has 67 pupils .

A £300 ($436) donation can pay the salaries of the CDEO administrative staff for one month.

A £75 ($109) donation can sponsor the participation of one deaf Cameroonian in a Sign Language Teacher Training Programme for a period of one year.

A £60 ($87) donation can sponsor a three day intensive Sign Language Interpreter Training Course for one Cameroonian, three times a year.

A £20 ($29) donation can sponsor a deaf Cameroonian through a ten week Adult Education Class at CDEO.

A £10 ($15) donation can buy a school uniform for one deaf pupil at the EID.

For £10 ($15) or more ,you can help us buy some building materials for the vocational training workshop to become operational in EID as of September 2003. The estimated cost of the workshop is £25,000 ($36,347).

For £10 ($15) or more, you can help us buy some building materials for two Dormitories, one for boys another for girls, both estimated to cost £39,545 ($57,491).
